Mission: Assist members in their development and growth as Supply Chain and Operations professionals, facilitate the exchange of information and business opportunities, and expand professional contacts.
Objectives: The Supply Chain and Operations subgroup will focus on Learning, Networking, and Collaboration and strive to meet the following objectives:
- Share knowledge, best practices, and resources.
- Educate members on topics of interest to them.
- Review and discuss regional, national and global business conditions, economic developments, legislative and regulatory changes, that impact members' businesses.
- Provide meaningful senior-level networking contacts.
- Support members in career transition.
General Meeting Format: Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Marriott Hotel in Conshohocken PA. The typical meeting format includes a guest speaker covering relevant topics of interest, informational presentations from subgroup members on various issues and business challenges faced by subgroup members.
- 7:30 - 8:15 Informal networking & breakfast
- 8:15 - 8:30 Opening and introductions
- 8:30 - 9:30 Guest speaker presentation or by a member to discuss particular business challenge for discussion by group
- 9:30 - 10:00 Networking General Discussion
Meetings conclude at 10:00 with additional time allotted for informal networking afterwards.
Membership: Open to all GPSEG members who actively practice in the field of Supply Chain Management, Operations Executives in service or manufacturing industries, and those who are moving or considering moving into these professions.
