Scott A. Tanker, CLU, ChFC, AIFA, President of Tanker Consulting Group, LLC
For over 25 years, Scott Tanker has specialized in retirement plan consulting, plan design, plan communications, and asset management services pertaining to tax qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
From 1979 to 1989, Mr. Tanker was a principal and officer of Paul A. Tanker & Associates, one of Philadelphia’s foremost pension and benefit firms. Then, Mr. Tanker founded his own firm, Tanker & Associates, Inc., and in 1997, Mr. Tanker sold his company to Century Business Services (CBIZ). Mr. Tanker left CBIZ in 2003, and in 2004 founded Tanker Consulting Group, LLC.
Mr. Tanker’s experience as a retirement and benefit plan consultant gives him the background necessary to counsel corporate decision makers on all facets of retirement plan design, communications, administration, and recordkeeping. With special expertise in pension plan design, he has helped hundreds of companies to implement retirement programs.
An accomplished speaker, Mr. Tanker has addressed groups of benefit professionals, accountants, brokers, and financial planners throughout the country, such as the Profit Sharing Council of America, and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. In addition, he has been quoted in regional and industry journals on retirement plan issues. His articles and comments have appeared in publications such as Pension and Investments, Pension World, AHA News, Profit-Sharing Council of America, Physicians Financial News, the Philadelphia Business Journal, and the Journal of Pension Plans and Compliance.
