Herb Taylor Vice President & Corporate Secretary Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia
Herb received a BA in economics from La Salle University and a Ph.D. in economics from Temple University. He became an economist with the Philadelphia Fed in 1981, and was later named head of the Research Department’s macroeconomics and monetary policy unit. In 1991, he became the Bank’s public affairs officer with responsibility for its external outreach, media relations, and public education programs. Currently, he is the Bank’s corporate secretary, charged with administration of the Bank's board of directors and advisory councils.
Herb is a member of the National Association of Business Economists and the Philadelphia Council of Business Economists. He currently serves on the boards of: Economics Pennsylvania, which supports economic and financial literacy in primary and secondary schools; the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia, a chapter of the CFA Institute; and the Bond Club of Philadelphia.
