The Benefits of Membership in Beacon
We in Beacon are "networking for life." Membership in Beacon results in substantial benefits in your career and professional development. It also opens very specific opportunities for you:
Access to Monthly Networking (Power Breakfast) meetings. Typically, these meetings begin at 7:30 a.m. and include breakfast. Members are given the opportunity to briefly relate their backgrounds and search or other business needs. Often, a recruiter, coach or other outside professional will be a guest speaker.
Participation in common interest subgroups (for members who meet the subgroup criteria). Currently, we have the following subgroups: B2B (Business to Business);CEO Roundtable; CIO Roundtable; Entrepreneurs Circle; Financial Executives; Human Capital Management; Innovation Leadership Forum; International Executives; Life Sciences; Mentoring; Non-Profit Sector; Princeton Executive Roundtable; Private Equity/LBOs; Professional Services; Sales and Marketing Leadership; Technology and groups in Delaware and in Northern and Southern N.J.
Participation in frequent educational forums and panel discussions open to members and non-members. Non-members are charged a premium to attend.
Participation in group-wide events.
Access to events held by organizations with whom Beacon has alliances, such as the Philadelphia Arts and Business Council, PSPS, and numerous area networking organizations.
Access to other members. Our Web site provides contact information for the entire membership, past and present, and is a repository for a variety of databases, search-related articles and links to other useful sites. All members are encouraged to place information on the site if it might be of interest to others in the group. Through discussions, forums, and outreach, members can request help regarding professional challenges, referrals and advice from other members.
Access to senior executive job postings. Members, as well as search firms and recruiters, are encouraged to share job postings on our Career Center. Members can elect to receive notifications and make their resumes searchable to recruiters when editing their member profiles.
Visibility of Businesses to members who may want to do business with members. Through the Web site as well as periodic events, members can describe their businesses and provide access to other members interested in business to business contacts.
Member Rewards Program: Through a partnership with Beacon's Web site vendor, members can pay a nominal fee and have access to discounts with a wide spectrum of merchants who provide products and services. This program also returns a small royalty back to Beacon.
People who genuinely care... yes, that's right - genuinely care. From the initial outreach of a new member introduction to ongoing outreach and exchanges, members enjoy the generous outpouring of offers of collegiality and assistance.
