Biography of Maria Baseggio, Chair
Maria Baseggio is the President of SAGE Insights, a management consulting firm that works with businesses to address their growth challenges by optimizing their business and/or marketing strategies. Recognized as a results-oriented leader, Maria knows that growth requires a strong set of products & services that address market challenges, a clearly defined target market, a solid sales plan as well as strong alliance and channel partner programs.
Prior to starting SAGE Insights in 2010, Maria enjoyed over twenty-five years of global leadership in the technology sector. Through her corporate and consulting roles, she has proven experience of increasing revenue by building programs to expand into new market opportunities and to enhance strategic alliances. Additionally, Maria has developed key account management programs to drive additional business with organizations’ top clients. She has successfully assisted in the transition from a product-centric to a services-centric focus, including required changes for the solutions as well as for the organizational structure.
Maria continues to use a collaborative approach to drive results for her clients by strengthening their business strategy, accelerating time to market for new offerings, leveraging alliance and channel partners as well as building effective marketing programs. She has shared this expertise while serving on the Board of Advisors for various clients in the SMB market.
As an active member of the executive community in Philadelphia, Maria serves as a member of the Board of Directors of GPSEG (Greater Philadelphia Senior Executives Group). She is also a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), a former member of the board for the Philadelphia Chapter of NAWBO and is chairman of the governing body of AthenaPowerLink, a regional business mentoring program that matches local women business owners with an advisory panel of experts focusing on business growth and job creation.
Maria serves on the governing board as President of P.E.O., a Philanthropic Educational Organization of nearly 240,000 members throughout the United States and Canada. P.E.O. provides financial assistance for women pursuing higher education and owns Cottey College, a liberal arts women’s college in Nevada, Missouri. Additionally, Maria is an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees of Cottey College.
