Norman Goldschmidt provided the following update:

"I just finished teaching a three day class , in Philadelphia, on "HVAC for Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Medical Device Facilities" for the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) a not-for-profit professional development organization.

On Nov. 2 I'll be speaking at the EPA's annual Energy Star Pharmaceutical Focus Group. My talk will be on: "Overcoming historically wasteful practices in Pharmaceutical Facilities"

"A team of engineers from across the pharmaceutical industry have been investigating risk assessment practices and empirical results from many energy-hungry practices common in Pharamceutical HVAC design. Amongst the groups areas of focus are air change rates and unoccupied setbacks for manufacturing spaces. Progress and results will be discussed."

On Nov. 9 I'll be speaking at ISPE's annual international conference (usually attended by 0ver 2000 people). My talk will be on:

"Applying ICH Q9 Principles to Drive Sustainability in Pharmaceutical Facilities"

"Developing a better science and risk based approach to HVAC for Pharmaceutical Clean Manufacturing. Principles and practices for Sustainable design and energy conservation will be discussed."

Chuck Polin was mentioned in a recent Philadelphia Business Journal article.

Steven Smolinsky will be holding another Conversation on Networking in Delaware at Christ Church.

Chris Shull was interviewed by Kevin Kermes on "How I got the Job."

James Marandi wrote on "Emerging Technologies, Global Trends and Survival" has been published in the Oct.-Nov. issue of "45 Magazine online".

Fesnak and Associates was named a leading provider of accounting services in the United States by Goldline Research, a marketing and information services firm that specializes in evaluating professional services firms.

Joe Tait will be speaking at "Celebrate Green IT: Green Information Technology"

Mainline Tweetup / Social Media Users Meetup Debuts

On Wednesday, September 30th, Team and a Dream hosted the first Mainline Social Media Users Meetup. It was held at Christopher's on North Wayne Avenue in Wayne, PA. The purpose of the meetup was for practitioners of social media - novice and advanced users alike - to meet and network offline. Of the 16 people who attended, many were business professionals looking to learn more about leveraging social media for business building. There was spirited discussion on social media tools & technologies and best ways to use it.

Team and a Dream CEO Skip Shuda featured panelist at the GCECS:

On Tuesday, October 6th, Team and a Dream CEO Skip Shuda spoke on the "Technology Enterprises: Live and Learn" panel at the Global Creative Economy Convergence Summit at the Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. Skip, along with 2 other serial entrepreneurs, spoke about lessons learned from starting up a technology-based company. Many insights on what worked and what didn't were shared. Team and a Dream CEO Skip Shuda featured panelist at Philly Ad Club seminar

On Wednesday, October 14th, Team and a Dream CEO Skip Shuda spoke on the "Social Media Brute Force" panel at The Union League in Philadelphia, PA. The breakfast seminar, organized by the Philly Ad Club, focused on social media best practices for profit-based and non-profit businesses alike, as well as information on how to develop measurable and actionable social media strategy and tactics.

Norman Goldschmidt is leading a team of Pharmaceutical Industry Engineers in drafting a guide book on HVAC for the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Medical Device industries. The nearly 300 page book has just been published by the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
