Linking Thinking to Performance -
Has “The Holy Grail” of Leadership, Talent, and
Organizational Development been discovered?

90% of learning and development expenditures (including money, time, and effort) are focused on improving and tracking what can be measured and/or observed: potential (knowledge and skills) and performance (behaviors and results). Given that thinking is the catalyst that turns potential into performance, it seems that mainstream L&D “best practices” may be missing something quite significant.

Peter Demarest, the guest speaker for our March 22nd meeting, is the co-founder and president of Axiogenics, LLC, a company that has scientifically diagnosed the thinking of over 10,000 people. Peter is a leading pioneer in the science of neuro-axiology (brain science + value science), an authority on Linking Thinking to Performance, and a developer of value-inquiry based Neuro-axiological Cognitive Remodeling (NCRT).  In endorsing Peter’s book, Answering The Central Question (2010) the late Stephen R. Covey (of 7 Habits… fame) called Peter’s work “groundbreaking.”

His company’s research has resulted in some very interesting and potentially game-changing insights into how people think that reveal the many-layered connections between thinking and both individual and organizational performance. Most exciting is a system for people to quickly develop the master-skill of Cognitive Self-Leadership, which many believe could be “The Holy Grail” of learning.

Peter will be sharing several eye-opening discoveries and developments from his research, offer a set of thought-provoking ideas for rethinking leadership, and will provide attendees with specific practices they can apply to make immediate and significant improvements in any aspect of their life or work that matters to them.
