For our first meeting of 2017, we are excited to welcome back Paul Sloate, founder, president and chief investment officer of Green Drake Advisors. Now a New Year tradition for the Private Equity Subgroup, Paul will once again be our January speaker, sharing his always thorough and insightful forecast of what’s ahead for the economy, how the private equity market will fare and where capital will flow to and from. Don’t miss Paul’s informative and entertaining views. We are excited to be holding this joint Private Equity / Financial Executives meeting at Drexel University in association with the Close School of Entrepreneurship and LeBow College of Business. 

 

About Paul Sloate

 

Paul Sloate is the Founder and President of Green Drake Advisors and serves as Chief Investment Officer of the firm. He is an expert in value investing, portfolio management, and financial analysis. Prior to founding Green Drake, Paul was a Director at BlackRock Financial Management and co-managed the $1.5 billion Large Cap Value Fund.  Before BlackRock, Paul was a founding principal of Schneider Capital Management, helping to build a $2 billion institutional asset management firm.  His over twenty-five years of experience in the industry includes serving on the Financial Accounting Policy Committee for the Association for Investment Management & Research (now the CFA Institute) and as a Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management. Paul graduated Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Cornell University and received an MBA with Distinction from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Paul is active in several non-profit organizations and lives with his wife and children in Bryn Mawr. He’s also a good friend.

Transportation Options:

 

Parking – Limited street parking is available. Parking is available in the Drexel Garage, located on the southeast corner of 34th and Market Streets, with the vehicle entrance in the rear at 34th and Ludlow Streets. Cost is $8.  If the Drexel Garage is full, there is a University of Pennsylvania Garage on 34th Street between Ludlow and Chestnut Streets (right across Ludlow Street from the Drexel Garage). Cost is $18.

 

Public Transportation - Gerri C. LeBow Hall is easily accessible by subway, regional rail or Amtrak by arriving into 30th Street Station. Walk two blocks west on Market Street to reach 32nd and Market. Gerri C. LeBow Hall is the tall 12-story building on the south side of Market Street.
