Joint Meeting with Technology Subgroup

Wednesday, May 18, 2016

7:30 - 10:00 AM

Philadelphia Country Club

There is no escaping it.  The biggest technology dilemma facing IT and HR professionals of the past was trying to figure out how to wire “home offices” to meet “current” demand.  Oh, the good old days…

Today, BYOT, Bring Your Own Technology ratchets up the challenge exponentially as it blurs the line between organizational and personal domains.  To protect your organization, just as with technology, “connections” need to be leveraged between HR, IT and Legal teams to address key issues of privacy,  data protection, social media impact, and the list continues.

We can’t escape it, as it’s everywhere and all the time … in our purses, our pockets and even on our wrists. It’s data in SMS texts, IM, emails and apps, runs 24 x 7, and it’s of great concern to policymakers. It’s no longer just an IT issue; it’s on the HR agenda and, increasingly also poses vexing legal questions.

Come and join Erik  Gudmundson, an experienced IT leader in the region’s information technology industry and Deborah Butler, an attorney who has built data protection programs at three large multinationals, as we explore what HR and IT professionals need to know to help protect their organizations. We’ll also discuss how to engage employees in data protection efforts. After all, technology challenges are ultimately people challenges.

Don’t miss this event that is being jointly hosted by the Human Capital Management and Technology Executives sub-groups  Get started today understanding how you need to manage your people to meet today’s technology challenges.
