Become an Innovation Leader

One of the most misunderstood concepts in business today is Innovation. While we may share common definitions of innovation, being a leader of innovation means different things to different people in different industries. It’s no longer good enough to achieve incremental top line and bottom line growth year over year. Leading companies know that to enable long-term, sustainable growth, they need to disrupt their industries; they need to create the marketplaces of the future. This kind of innovation requires the ability to look far beyond the status quo and to develop insights into customer trends and new ways of working with partners and suppliers. There may be numerous opinions on what to innovate, but there is one thing on which everyone can agree—to lead with a focus on innovation requires the right talent.

What is innovation? How do you distinguish real innovation from a fad? How can you change a culture to be more innovative? What does a leader of innovation look like? How do you measure success?

This presentation will examine what innovation is, why it is critical to be an innovation leader, and how you can enhance breakthrough innovations through your leadership. It will include a discussion about the innovation leadership model and help you assess where you fit on the continuum from Resistance to Master. It will provide practical tips on how you can improve your mindset and skills as a leader of innovation, create cultures of innovation, and develop individuals and teams to be masters at leading innovation.
