Tuning Your Contractor Relationship

Life Sciences businesses today demand flexibility, speed and extreme cost sensitivity.    To run our companies efficiently most of us cycle resources in and out to meet needs as they happen for as long as necessary, and no longer. Contractors give us the greatest flexibility and expertise at the lowest risk and variable cost.  That all sounds a lot easier than it really is.

Last year one of our best attended sessions was “So you want to be a Consultant?”  Our February 24th session takes the next step, “now what?”   Our membership is a mix of people on both sides of the contracting relationship.  We’ve built an experienced panel; a consultant, a search firm placing contractors and a regional resource (the Ben Franklin Partnership) pushing to improve the efficiency and value of that relationship.  They’ll address changing needs, the process, cultural fit, mutual expectations, best practices, up and downsides and your questions.  Is contracting today less transactional, moving quickly toward mutually beneficial partnership?  If this isn’t wishful thinking, how should it change my behavior?
