PHILADELPHIA — A group of up to 60 GPSEG members will gather Saturday, June 4 at Cradles to Crayons to spend the day providing volunteer assistance for the West Conshohocken nonprofit children services provider.
The GPSEG members will work at Cradles to Crayons’ Conshohocken warehouse sorting clothing, cleaning and testing toys, examining books, inspecting baby equipment and packing kidpacks. There will be morning and afternoon groups participating during the day.
GPSEG set up the volunteering opportunity as a means of helping the community, enabling its members to meet other members, getting families involved and spreading GPSEG’s goodwill.
The mission of Cradles to Crayons is to provide children living in low income and homeless situations from birth to preteen the basic essentials, free of charge that they need to feel safe, warm, and ready to learn. Additionally Cradles to Crayons provides a foundation for lasting social change through meaningful, tangible volunteer activities experienced by thousands of adults and children each year.
