GPSEG names Lonny Strum chair of its

 Marketing and Public Relations Committee

                                                              Strum is managing director of the Strum Consulting Group

PHILADELPHIA — The Greater Philadelphia Senior Executive Group (GPSEG) Board of Directors announced that Lonny Strum was appointed chair of its Marketing and Public Relations Committee.

  

Strum will contribute to the organization’s strategic marketing efforts, including branding, communications and program development. He will lead that implementation through GPSEG’s Marketing and Public Relations Committee. He also will oversee the development of collateral materials to promote the organization and continue its growth rate.

  

“Lonny brings an entire career’s worth of communications background to his GPSEG post, which will prove invaluable,” GPSEG Chairman Dwayne Patterson said. “We look forward to working with Lonny on getting out the word about an ever-growing and increasingly vibrant GPSEG.”

  

Strum is the managing director of the Strum Consulting Group – founded in 1999 -- which works with companies that seek to drive their revenue through strategic marketing programs. Earlier in his career, Strum served as the CEO of the Star Group and President of Earle Palmer Brown -- two of the area’s largest advertising agencies – and also spent 12 years at BBDO/New York, one of the world’s largest communications agencies.

  

He serves on several Philadelphia area nonprofit boards, including the Arts & Business Council and the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Strum also is a member of the World Presidents Organization.

  

Strum lives in Voorhees, N.J. with his family.

Lonny Strum
